Attorney Profile

Jay Taylor is an experienced trial and appellate lawyer who represents the Firm’s transportation industry clients in complex litigation matters and appeals around the country. As a member of the Firm’s complex litigation group, he has defended clients in numerous class actions, collective actions, and complex multi-party cases in state and federal courts throughout the United States. He also leads the Firm’s appellate litigation efforts and helps trade associations and other transportation industry members weigh in on issues critical to the industry at large as amici curiae. Jay brings his combined trial and appellate experience to bear by consulting with trial counsel on critical motions and litigation strategy and by supporting trial teams as an embedded appellate attorney, helping to protect favorable results from potential challenges and preserving issues for appeal.

Before joining Scopelitis, Jay served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Patrick D. Sullivan and the Honorable L. Mark Bailey of the Indiana Court of Appeals.
