Eric Meyers’ practice is concentrated in all aspects of Warehouse Legal Liability including property losses, general liability, regulatory compliance, enforcement of warehousemen liens, breach of contract actions, and review of storage and fulfillment contracts. Meyers represents warehouse providers, 3PLs, shippers, carriers, and freight forwarders, in tort, contract, bailment, warranty and statutory-based actions. His practice includes:

He has extensive experience in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing warehousing documents. Myers has represented clients at trials, arbitrations, mediations, and administrative hearings. He has also prepared appellate briefs, delivered oral arguments before the Illinois Appellate Court, and assisted in preparing an amicus curiae brief for the Supreme Court of the United States involving a rail demurrage issue before the Surface Transportation Board.

While in law school, Meyers was fortunate to earn a rare opportunity to apply his passion for baseball while working as a Legal and Arbitration Intern at SFX Baseball Group, where he assisted in preparing players’ cases for the Major League Baseball salary arbitration hearings.

Prior to attending law school, he worked with his father, both in the office and on the dock, at a Chicago-based refrigerated LTL company where he regularly loaded and unloaded reefer units. Meyers has been able to apply his first-hand experience in the industry toward providing his clients with passionate and practical legal guidance and representation. His real-world experience gives him a unique perspective and insight into his clients’ day-to-day operations.

Meyers is an active member, participant, advisor, and frequent lecturer for several warehouse and transportation associations.
